This is to date this the largest version of a "Laminar Capsule" style bead I have made.  Inner lobes of opal peach-violet are made by applying the decoration to the inner surface of clear glass tubing. A layer of gold vapor gleams from behind the colored pattern. After the inner design is complete the piece is closed to begin the outer design. This consists of multi-layered "petals" done with shades of dark ruby, caramel-fuchsia and opaque pastel lavender. Accented with small raised bumps of opal fuchsia and black.
